Description

The Director, Retirement Plan Investments, will be a member of UnitedHealth Group’s Total Rewards, who is responsible for the oversight of the firm's qualified and non-qualified retirement plans? assets, non-integrated controlled group retirement plan investments, in excess of $9 billion, and non-integrated pension plan liabilities. The position will report to the VP, Wealth Strategies. This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life’s best work.(sm)

The Director, Retirement Plan Investments will manage the implementation of a Master Trust, working closely with Trust Company personnel, internal Legal, Treasury, and Finance. Advise, coordinate and support implementation of investment fund changes as needed to defined benefit and defined contribution plans in connection with company acquisitions, divestitures, restructures or plan structural changes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and set the agendas for the Investment Committee; Prepare 401(k) plan and investment benchmarking, demographic analysis, retirement income solutions, investment advice/managed accounts, and other topics. Present results to Senior Management
  • The Director will collaborate on all retirement investment matters impacting UHGs retirement plan with UHG internal departments, including Financial Fitness, Human Capital, Benefit Finance, Treasury, and Legal, and externally with investment managers, trustees, actuaries, custodians and investment consultants
  • Manage the asset allocation and investment management of the company’s corporate owned life insurance (COLI) trust
  • Responsible for defined benefit risk transfers, including due diligence and selection of an insurer under DOL interpretive bulletin 95-1
  • Partner with UHG internal legal counsels and negotiate investment manager, trustee and other investment related vendor agreements and fees. Develop and maintain investment policy statements related to UHG 401(k) Trusts
