The Director, Revenue for Sponsored Search within Media Partnerships leads the team responsible for building the business of paid search advertising at Walmart. This new role will work cross-functionally with Product, Operations and Sales to massively grow revenue in the WPA (Walmart Performance Ads) platform, which serves Walmart eCommerce suppliers and sellers in our 3P Marketplace. The Partnership Marketing team wins when suppliers invest in digital media to drive growth; Walmart and our supplier partners win when your digital expertise helps sell more goods online and offline. Growth in our digital advertising business is key to Walmarts overall ecosystem.

The Media Partnerships team works directly with Walmart suppliers/Marketplace sellers and is responsible for developing comprehensive digital marketing plans using Walmarts suite of ad products. We pride ourselves on a consultative style, seeking to drive media investment by acting as strategic advisors to our partners. Sponsored Search is a core capability that increases exposure and ROI for any company selling on the Walmart e-commerce platform. Walmart is the 4th largest search engine in the world, and search is part of the shopping journey used by everyone who buys from us online.City:SAN BRUNOState:CAPosition Description:The Director leading revenue for Sponsored Search needs to be a seasoned people manager, an excellent developer and operator of revenue-generating sales programs, a strategic thinker on digital media, a skillful problem-solver and process-maker, and ultimately adaptable and resilient in the face of massive growth.

Essential functions:

Own the revenue results for a large-scale, sponsored-search advertising business at Walmart eCommerce. Partner closely with Product to ensure the platform is continuously improving to address functional requirements of large and small advertisers, including self-serve tools; deliver effective ROI for a range of different customer types; and maximize Walmart profitability. Partner with Sales to ensure the effective penetration of target advertisers; sales team training and understanding of the platform and customer needs; and continuous identification of growth opportunities.

Establish and own the processes for launching and driving paid advertising programs in WPA across Walmart categories (i.e. Apparel, Electronics, Health & Beauty, Grocery). Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives, platform capabilities, and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing go-to-market sales strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on platform improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Define and build an internal revenue teamMinimum Qualifications: 5 years of people management experience

5 years of digital advertising experience, primarily on the sell-side

2 years in a leadership role running a digital search advertising businessAdditional Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of people management experience
