Of equal importance is the ability to provide the right project, professional and support services that actually make this transformation happen.

Reporting directly to the President of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR), the Managing Director Services Sales will be responsible for developing and managing execution of the overall EMEAR Services strategy working in close cooperation with the EMEAR theatre leaders and their teams. He or she will manage a diverse sales team and work to create and expand relationships with Cisco current and potential customer and partner base. The key focus areas for this role will be to drive a rapid growth of Cisco’s recurring business and a consolidation and simplification of EMEAR services and software sales engagement model. He or she will play a significant role in leading EMEAR’s transformation to accelerate the pace of innovation, increase the value of the network, and deliver our technology in the way customers want to consume.

Who you'll work with

  • You will part of the EMEAR Strategic Leadership Team for the Senior Vice President for Sales and his staff, including the different Vice Presidents and General Managers
  • The EMEAR leaders of Services Delivery, Services Pre-Sales and representatives of the different Services Business Units, Advanced Services, GCS and Technical Services primarily
  • Client Directors, Client Executives and Service Delivery Executives for individual strategies and transformational opportunities
  • Territory and Inside Sales leadership for strategy, planning and management of Services business in commercial
  • EMEAR Theatre Recurring Offer Leads where appropriate
  • Architecture, Strategy, Business Development, Operations & Planning leaders in EMEAR
  • EMEAR Finance and Commercial Finance for forecasting, business metrics and planning
  • Worldwide and corporate teams for global planning, forecasting and interlock
Who you are
  • Experienced executive or senior sales leader with background from the high-tech industry, ideally in software and solution sales
  • Intimate knowledge of Cisco’s services processes, contracts, partner programs and relationships
  • Deep understanding of how services contracts will influence the way we contract software and how we build a consistent approach
  • Relevant experience in managing sales and delivery of professional services, project services, technical support services, managed services or consulting services to global accounts
  • Proven track record in building and managing high performing, diverse teams as well as succeeding in cross-functional matrix organisations
  • Strong operational management as well as strategy & business development capability
  • Creativity and appetite to drive innovation by challenging the status quo
  • Expert verbal and written communication, including executive-level formal and informal presentation skills
