What You'll Do
You will work with Cisco's product management and engineering teams to develop new monetization approaches for Cisco's product portfolio.  You will engage with sales, customers, and partners on the value proposition of these products and use this insight to make refinements.  You will engage our marketing team to develop messaging and collateral to convey the value proposition of these new offers.  The specific products you engage on will vary over time, based upon product release cycles & acquisitions.  Net, you'll be responsible for developing innovative ways of taking products to market through new monetization approaches, and seeing them be successful.  

You'll also drive aspects of Cisco's strategy for product entitlement, customer activation, and usage tracking.  This will enable customers, partners, and Cisco to better understand what has been purchased, deployed, and consumed.  Today, Cisco's products use a variety of mechanisms to track entitlement and activation.  These include trust-based (no tracking), product authorization keys, Smart Accounts & Smart Licensing, and online tracking for SaaS/cloud offers.  Because of these different approaches by product, it can be challenging for customers to understand what products they own, what they have activated, whether they have technical support, and how much they are using.  You're going to help fix this!

Who You'll Work With
You will be part of Cisco's Digitization Office, which has responsibility for driving cross-company initiatives to accelerate Cisco's software and recurring revenue business.  The team you will be joining has responsibility for the monetization approaches for Cisco's enterprise products, including Networking, Data Center, Security, Collaboration, IoT, and our Application Platforms.  Our work is extremely cross-functional; virtual teams for our major initiatives have 10-300 members, including representatives across the functional teams (product mgmt., engineering, marketing, sales, channel, finance, operations, supply chain, etc.).  

On the monetization work, you will work closely with product management teams associated with the offers you're responsible for, along with operations, finance, sales, and channel teams.  On the entitlement work, you will work closely with the Director of Entitlement (on the same team), operations, IT, engineering, and supply chain to execute the strategies that you and the team define.  

Who You Are
You can develop a business strategy and perform financial analysis.  You can engage in cross-functional initiatives with extensive 30 virtual teams.  You can capture product requirements and partner with the implementation teams to execute them, revising plans to deliver the best return.  You're good at communicating across a range of audiences.  You're comfortable engaging directly with others outside your immediate team, to solicit feedback on approach and alter course accordingly.  You're comfortable with ambiguity and get excited as your work evolves to address the most challenging obstacles in Cisco's business transformation to software & recurring revenue.

Relevant Experiences
The following experiences will position you well to be successful in this role:
*	Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Finance;  MBA preferable
*	Experience high-tech environment, preferably software or SaaS/cloud
*	Management consulting, Corp/BU strategy, product management, or venture capital
*	Software licensing and entitlement management (e.g., licensing keys, product telemetry)
