Job Details

+ Guide the review and recommendations of the revenue and trade spend to optimize revenue including management reviews with senior management

+ Serves as resource for single, unified pricing strategy with full linkage to the price to customer and ultimate price to the consumer

+ Guides development of promotional guidelines and trade spend allocation recommendations to continue to enhance performance of dollars spent

+ Collaborate with partners in Sales, Sales Strategy, Marketing and Finance to optimize variables for maximizing the gross to net elements of the operating plan.

+ Develop the Trade architecture for trade funding across US customers and track implementation of changes and adherence to the trade programs working with Sales Strategy

+ Responsible for the $200MM+ trade spend administration of allocation, optimization tracking and reporting inclusive of all required financial reporting and systems controls for proper reporting working with the head of US Finance

+ Directly supervise staff of seven including 2 managers and 5 analysts/ Sr analysts . optimize capability in the organization for success

+ Establish effective working relationships with the Marketing and Sales Strategy teams, the US Innovation team, Consumer and Sales Insights team, the US Customer teams and the US Finance team.


+ Develop, in tandem with marketing and sales strategy teams, a holistic pricing strategy and process for US PCH to fully incorporate consumer and retailer perspectives as well as incorporating pricing and profitability thinking into early stage innovation and throughout product lifecycle across customer channels

+ Approve annual and bi-annual pricing strategies, as well as final list prices and MPPs on price lists

+ Help ensure execution of the pricing strategy across the market with proper tracking and reporting tools

+ Develop innovative pricing programs that provide incremental revenue (or preserve revenue) to PCH while bringing added value to customers, both consumers and retailers.

+ Develop understanding and guidelines for usage of promotional pricing. Develop modeling around value of price clusters and usage. Create and lead rollout of promotional guidelines for field teams.

+ Provide strategic pricing support and thought leadership including focus on both premium and value based (lower cost) opportunities

+ Guide the practice of dynamic pricing working with the E-commerce team to test and adopt best practices to maximize net revenue

+ Ensure proper analysis is completed for the evaluation of trade spend , promotion effectiveness and pricing optimization

+ Perform sensitivity analysis and ensure output is fully utilized in pricing decisions. Understand pricing elasticity models and work with Market Analytics team on their BASES work.

Trade Funding and Promotion Optimization

+ Develop trade fund allocation and rate recommendations to be aligned with Sales Lead and Sales Strategy & Marketing

+ Develop process for deeper analytics in trade usage including ROI analysis.

+ Business process owner of Siebel, includes leading through opportunities for simplification and data accuracy. Participate on any major system upgrade or change teams for the trade administration areas

+ Perform financial modeling and analysis and pro forma financial statements to develop annual trade budget including optimization and sensitivity analysis as input to operating plan.

+ Manage monthly financial accounting and reporting of $150+ million trade, present monthly updates to senior management; work closely with Sales Team Leaders/Directors to manager trade fund budgets by Account

+ Promulgate promotional guidelines for field teams and develop the proper tools and tracking mechanisms for promotional effectiveness

+ Ensure Field Sales is properly trained on all necessary trade administration and optimization tools working with L&D

+ Participate in industry share groups to identify industry trends, relevant benchmarks, and best practices to improve processes and procedures P&L


+ 8-15+ years experience in a Sales Finance or Pricing role in a major CPG or consumer health player

+ Experience in a field sales or sales strategy role also highly recommended

+ Graduate degree or MBA recommended

+ Excellent leadership and organizational building experiences

+ Experience training entry-level analysts and managers

+ Comfortable in insights and analytics , tools and systems

+ Strong background of cross-functional cooperation and communication

**This leader should have high level of comfort with analysis and calculations, accuracy in evaluation of information and ability to scenario plan , as well as , estimate impact to sales and share of recommendations on pricing and trade strategies**

**This role will have only periodic travel for Sales meetings , training or industry based learning on COE capabilities**
