This role is significant in helping to transform Global Analytic Insights, as it relates to Syndicated Information, from an aggregation of multiple countries with diverse data needs and limited operational alignment; to a more Globally aligned organization that establishes and institutionalizes operational \"best practice\" and Information Strategy.

  • Leads a team that will optimize market performance reporting, own syndicated data vendor relationships, resolve syndicated data issues, develop/manage technology solutions and manage relationship with FP&A to deliver data for corporate scorecards and other misc. requests
  • Builds relationships with IT and other external analytic vendors to create/invent next-practice analytics capabilities including advanced modeling, simulators, predictive analytic engines and \"big data\" initiatives; builds new capabilities as solutions to big business problems
  • Work with local markets to identify optimal levels of information spends in order to increase ROI. Identify opportunities to rationalize spend in order to ensure that strategic growth countries have the most effective and efficient information spends. Lead this process annually to ensure desired spending levels are sustained. This role provides consultation and executing actions once aligned.
  • Institutionalize the Data Quality process in countries where identified. Ensure that the processes is understood and aligned to by Sector/Region/Country Insight personnel. Work with local Insights teams to align and provide simple explanatory communication to the Executive level. Requires making decisions and executing plan in a complex matrixes environment
  • Lead process with Nielsen to continually enhance quality process by identifying other key metrics and/or data sources in extremely data volatile countries. This will include statistical work in using external information \" (ex:Canadean) to help project Nielsen Share as verification of all reported numbers. Requires providing consultation to Information vendors and aligning mgmt
  • Identify and share PepsiCo view (internal Nielsen reporting platform) Global \"best practices\". Assist in the development/deployment of a survey to help identify opportunities for enhancements and gauge usefulness of tools and information. Requires consultation to identify and align organization opportunities to enhance effective and efficient use
  • Lead the Nutritional database alignment during the \"feasibility stage\" for the Top 8 identified markets. Lead the expansion to the Top 19 markets when authorized. Develop key Executive Nutrition reports for the PepsiCo view system
  • Work closely with PepsiCo IT and help manage the design/development/implementation phases of an \"in-house\" system that could replace the current Web-based access tool with a more affordable internal capability. Requires a deep knowledge of systems and information in order to identify key voids in the system and to make strategic, but practical, recommendations. Requires a consultant approach in a complex matrixes organization


  • Syndicated data functional expertise-prior successes in syndicated data management and analytics; proven ability to develop, sell, and drive best practices and ways of working to elevate the broader functional impact
  • Stamina-as evidenced by a track record of driving results in complex/multi-stakeholder/volatile/uncertain environments
  • Communications skills-the ability to educate and influence management and staff to act in the best interest of internal clients and shareholders through written and verbal communications. The successful candidate will also possess the proven ability to communicate and manage relationships with cross-functional teams, especially business leaders, to elevate the strategic impact of the function
  • Managerial competency-a track record of identifying, attracting and developing highly motivated and successful Insights professional who have gone on to build records of success. The person must be able to motivate staff and create a high performance ethic among their subordinates, as well as their ability to succeed as a team
  • Global savoir faire-by having worked or been responsible for influencing decision beyond North America. The ideal candidate will be sensitive and responsive to social and cultural differences.
  • Deep, broad, and current consumer packaged goods experience. The appropriate awareness and understanding to effectively leverage and prioritize different trends and influences in the space
  • Progressive thought leadership and commercial implementation-a demonstrated record of developing and delivering high impact and successful consumer products Insights. Transition with ease from Insight-based recommendations to practical/tactical implementation
