An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Pfizer Consulting & Execution as a Director Team Leader. This unique role is critical for leading our management consulting engagements which range from strategy, innovation, business transformation and complex problem solving across core business areas. You will be expected to challenge the status quo, navigate complexity and ambiguity and lead a team to drive impact across a global team. You'll work closely with the senior leaders across the organization. You'll leverage high learning agility and industry knowledge to drive strategic thinking while partnering with our clients.

**Lead High Impact Engagements**

The Director Team Leader uses management consulting skills, biopharmaceutical business knowledge, innovation frameworks, processes skills, change management and continuous improvement methodologies, measurements & tools to analyze issues, develop and implement strategies and solutions to complex problems within our organizations. Typical projects include developing a business strategy, leading an organizational transformation, building new capabilities, shaping and leveraging new technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, digital, etc.) to advance how our R&D and commercial organization operations. The colleague will need to develop strong relationships with senior leaders across multiple organizations and work across those leaders to prioritize projects to maximize impact.

**Team Management and Talent Greenhouse**

The Director Team Leader will manage project teams composed of both internal colleagues and external contractors with project team sizes ranging from 2-10 people. In order to lead projects, this person will need to be highly proactive, work collaboratively with other groups, have strong attention to detail along with written, verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, teaming, facilitation and relationship building skills.

In addition, the Director Team Leader will play a key role in identify and develop talent to further enabling PCE to be a talent feeder to the rest of the larger organization. This will include mentoring, coaching and aiding in developing and delivering consulting training which is a responsibility of all leadership team members. Developing our people is a responsibility both within and outside the projects. In addition, the Director Team Leader will have 3-5 direct reports.


+ Undergraduate degree required; PhD, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

+ 5+ years management consulting experience, preferably from a strategy management consulting firm

+ 5+ years in-house experience at a pharmaceutical/biopharm/biotech firm, preferred

+ Prior position at a global external consulting firm desirable

+ R&D experience either in research or clinical development

+ Demonstrated experience in managing projects teams, programs (i.e., collection of sub-projects) or major workstreams of varying levels of complexity

+ Extensive experience with aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information in a way that enables leaders to have transparency on the underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings.

+ Able to interact and partner with executives with comfort and ease

+ Acts independently on self-managed projects

+ Exercises foresight and judgment in making complex decisions

+ Experience managing projects within matrixed organizations

+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others in spoken and written English

+ Experience with management consulting methodologies and frameworks

+ Experience with strategy, analysis, experience in operating models, governance, visual storyboarding methodologies, change management and process re-engineering

+ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills including ability to maintain productive dialogue and pushing back on senior leaders as appropriate

+ Excellent oral and written communications capabilities

+ Strong presentation and facilitation skills

+ Intermediate understanding of finance and budgeting

+ Must be able to manage large teams across multiple functions and have a working knowledge of each function

+ Fluent with technology solutions to manage projects including appropriate Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and also SharePoint

+ Must be fluent in English
