Job Details

The Pricing and Contracting Strategy Director (PCSD) will work across the vaccine portfolio to establish the vaccine pricing and contracting strategy across channels including CDC/VFC, IDNs, Physician Buying Groups (PBGs), GPOs, Payers, Retail and Long Term Care for the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit. The PCSD will collaborate with the brand teams to develop pricing and contracting strategies specific to the brand and assess and monitor the effectiveness of various channel and customer type pricing and contracting strategies across the US vaccine portfolio. The role requires strong business acumen, deep knowledge of drug pricing and contracting, solid understanding of vaccine and/or buy and bill drugs, strong team collaboration and leadership skills.







Qualifications -







+ BS/BA Degree Required; MBA Preferred



+ 8 or more years of pharmaceutical pricing and contracting experience; 3+ years in a buy and bill drug or vaccines pricing and contracting role preferred



+ Experience in leading vaccine specific pricing and contracting functions to include working with Group Purchasing Organizations, Physician Buying Groups, Retail Chains, Integrated Delivery Networks







+ Demonstrated track record of strong business acumen, strategic thinking and project management skills



+ Proven track record of success with working effectively in a team-based environment, balancing diverse cross -functional perspectives, strong problem solving, leadership, and collaboration skills







+ High level change agility, flexibility and comfort with addressing and adapting to ambiguity



+ Excellent commercial, financial and analytical skills



+ Role is based in either HQ location (NY or Collegeville) with up to 20% travel







**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**







+ Function as the subject matter authority on vaccine pricing and contracting on behalf of the U.S. Vaccines Business Unit; share pricing and contracting knowledge and insights across teams



+ Develop overall public and private pricing and contracting strategy across products, channels and customers to drive the growth of the vaccines business.



+ Lead the alignment processes regarding the development of pricing and contracting strategies with cross functional stakeholders as well as securing endorsement with senior leadership over end-to-end contracting strategy and process



+ Lead the strategy and manage the cross functional contract process for the annual CDC Vaccines for Children and Vaccines for Adults solicitations ; working in tight collaboration with the Public Sector Lead who will provide key inputs and lead customer negotiations



+ Lead the strategy and manage the cross functional process for price changes to include partnership with brand access marketing for field and customer communications



+ Collaborate with the vaccine brand teams and access marketers to align pricing and contracting strategy to the overall brand strategy and contracting pull-through initiatives



+ Collaborate with the PCA Vaccine Contracting Lead to develop and refine vaccines-specific pricing and contracting strategy and processes



+ Partner with Global Commercial Development & Business Development Teams to provide U.S. pricing & contracting insights and help shape pricing and contracting strategies for pre-launch and Business Development assets



+ Refine the contracting strategies based on customer feedback and business needs



+ Evaluate price recommendations and assess impact of price changes for vaccine brands and the business unit



+ Develop and implement price changes including implementation methodology



+ Refine, develop and communicate key metrics to monitor pricing and contracting effectiveness in the market



+ Monitor and seek to continuously improve the operational effectiveness of the overall vaccine contracting process in close collaboration with PCA.



+ Serve as the vaccine BU lead and point for pricing and contracting issue resolution across Vaccines, PCA, Legal, Trade, BT and Managed Markets
