Description:

  • Responsibilities include ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of company-wide EHS programs and systems Interface and negotiation with federal, state and local government agencies (EPA, DOT, OSHA)
  • Investigate EHS incidents and manage regulatory investigation/inspection and enforcement actions.
  • Analysis of proposed projects to determine compliance requirements
  • Participate in the development of leading and lagging Key Performance Measures (KPMs) that deliver best in class EHS performance and demonstrate a high level of urgency around needed EHS paradigm culture shift
  • Organize, execute and lead EHS audits
  • Support worker's compensation claim management
  • Ability to support Fleet/DOT programs and deliver strong defensive driving training initiatives
  • Execute within an EHS budget process
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and determine plausible corrective actions
  • Ability to lead risk reduction initiatives
  • Analyze data trends & performance to ensure that the right priorities are identified and acted upon
  • Identify issues, coach and lead field locations in development of a corrective action plan to address root basic causes and management system weak-spots through the use of industry-recognized cause analysis techniques (5-Why, etc.)
  • Oversee and lead direct and indirect reports
  • Conduct periodic site visits and EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and company EHS processes and policies


Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS in Occupational Health & Safety or related degree, (ASP/CSP is a plus)
  • Five - ten years' experience managing and implementing EHS programs and five years minimum supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage multi-locations and EHS programs and people
  • Knowledge of OSHA/DOT regulations
  • Experience/ability to interface and collaborate with other functions (Legal/HR/Fleet/Engineering/PepsiCo Global/etc.)
  • Excellent oral and written communications, including speaking/presenting before large audiences. Self-motivated, high performer
