The Powder Packaging Operations Specialist I is responsible for providing detailed technical training to Powders Packaging team colleagues. Will be expected to work as a liaison between work team and maintenance for repairs and preventative maintenance. Knowledgeable or familiar with Packaging Serialization. Demonstrate ownership and accountability to production schedule and protecting product quality.

Ability to diagnoses operating difficulties, troubleshoot equipment problems, work with Maintenance and other enabling groups with repairs of equipment failure.

Also responsible for supporting the work team operation to ensure that all applicable unit and site safety guidelines/policies are followed. Ensure that all tasks are conducted in accordance with appropriate processing standards, such as FDA's current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's).


+ Develop, maintain and train work team colleagues on operator care task sheets.

+ Establish efficient processes, monitoring specific results, and improve identified process opportunities using Right First Time (RFT) and Lean principles.(i.e. 5s and Standard Work)

+ Maintain manufacturing equipment at optimal operating efficiency. Assist in identifying problems and solutions using Method 1 and Quality Risk Management (QRM).

+ Serve as technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the work team and Deviation Report Coordinator (DRC) on equipment related deviations and corrective action implementation.

+ Work with engineering by participating in developing equipment specifications, user requirements, capital scope development, FAT/SAT support and qualification activities.

+ Work with procurement and packaging engineering to monitor component issues and conduct feasibility assessments/line trials as needed.

+ Update/create documents such as MBRs, SOPs, OJTs, Job Aids, etc. as needed.

+ Assist in the implementation of quality and safety related corrective and preventative actions.

+ Ability to perform safety assessments of routine and non-routine activities.

+ Update/train work team regarding safety systems such as LOTO, and Safe Work Permit.

+ Must demonstrate initiative, ability to lead others and effectively work with teams.

**Functional/Technical Knowledge** : Good knowledge base of industry practices and standards. Proficient in computer applications such as SAP, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

+ **Education:** High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus or either an Associate's Degree in technically related field of study preferred.

+ **Experience:** Three to five years related experience and/or training.

+ **Language Skills:** Effective written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated reading comprehension and writing proficiency at level that meets Job Summary requirements. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals/groups resulting in desired outcomes.

+ **Mathematical Skills:** Strong math skills with the ability to calculate percentages and develop basic graphs and spreadsheets.


+ **Job tasks may include:** bending, lifting up to 50lbs, stooping, crawling, and twisting motions. Ability to stand upright for several consecutive hours. Absence of any medical restrictions which could restrict completion of all required duties. Able to wear all applicable PPE.


+ Primarily working hours are 0630-1530. However, based on business needs **overtime and off-shift work may be required for extended periods of time.**

+ Holiday work may periodically be required to meet business or customer needs.
