Valley Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Van Driver to join our team!

Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service. We are a private 122 bed psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health care and chemical dependency counseling services.

The Van Driver provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times. Reports all van maintenance problems to the Transportation Coordinator Operations. The van driver will be responsible for the van log ensuring that the address and phone numbers are updated. Communicates and consult with the Transportation Coordinator and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information.

  • Hours are 24 - 30 hours weekly; afternoon/evening shifts from 2pm to 10:30pm, with schedule flexibility required.
  • Applicant must be able and willing to drive a 10 passenger van, and able to drive safely at night.
  • Possibility for position to become full-time in the future.
  • Must have a clean driving record.

 

Job Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate, or equivalent preferred
  • Licensure: Maintains a valid, class specific driver's license applicable to the transportation of patients.
  • Must have a current CPR card.
  • Must be 18 years or older and be able to obtain your driving records from the Department of Public Safety.
  • Must complete training in seclusion and restraint procedures (SAMA) within 90 days of employment.
  • May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
