Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

The Pfizer Business Technology Digital Center of Excellence builds and maintains the platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to connect digitally with our customers. The Digital Operations HCP Non-Portal lead is responsible for the end to end support of the all HCP facing applications within the Digital Center of Excellence portfolio including Remote Detail, HCP Web, GRV, GCP and eMail platforms globally. The HCP Non-Portal Operations lead must be a team player with the ability to collaborate with all members of the GCS Product Teams. Support is provided through a variety of outsourced vendor service contracts that the Lead must actively manage to ensure Pfizer is getting the quality and responsiveness required to ensure high quality for our customers.

The Digital Operations HCP Apps Lead must ensure that Pfizer's HCP Products are always on, reliable, scalable and of the highest quality possible while maintaining efficiency and long term sustainability. Key to the success of this role is the ability to influence a culture of quality throughout the digital center of excellence team from early project planning through to delivery and sustainable operations. A successful candidate will have both technical, leadership and

interpersonal skills required to create a sustainable environment of collaboration across multiple teams at Pfizer.

The HCP Apps digital operations lead must be able to manage critical situations when they do arrive through thoughtful planning of vendor management, and communications approach.

The operations lead must also ensure that all outages and production issues reported have a full root cause analysis completed and a drive towards constant improvement. Success in this role

will be measured not just by uptime and outage reports, but the culture of quality that is created throughout the GCS Product Teams.

**Role Responsibilities**

• Member of the multiple GCS product teams and responsible for support and operations of multiple systems with accountability to several different product owners.

• Ownership of all knowledge transfer processes and handoffs from engineering teams to support team for all systems in scope.

• Ownership of all support & operations contracts for HCP Non-Portal systems.

• Engaging with technical architects as appropriate to ensure project solutions comply with platform standards throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

• Ensures product reliability in line with guidelines\\methodology and provides updates as required

• Ownership of the communication to all levels of Pfizer concerning service outages, downtime, resolution steps, root cause analysis and service remediation for HCP facing applications.

• Escalation Management adhering to established SLAs. Promptly respond and resolve escalation requests from Business Partners.

• Responsibility for creating a culture of Continuous Improvement including creating new projects focused on technical and organizational issues and monitoring improvement efforts.

• Engagement with engineering teams focused on process automation throughout the life cycle of application development, deployment, configuration, maintenance and operations.

• Identifies and provides standards for gathering information for use in trend analysis and reports information to company management. Maintain key metrics for quality, efficiency and productivity for application support. Implement improvement projects to drive quality, productivity and efficiency

• Effectively communicates technical aspects of the job to both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as the creation of communication material to send to leadership

• Leads Pfizer's adoption of devops methodology by continuously seeking to break apart silos within the organization, and foster a culture of collaboration to improve system quality.

• Manage contract resources to deliver services, projects and operating support models for delivered solutions.

• Ensures that standards of Quality Assurance (QA) are being met as part of ongoing services

• Deep understanding of web based and mobile application technologies and concepts and/or

business processes as applied to customer marketing.

• Understand and negotiate with vendors on their project estimations as necessary. Engage

vendors through RFP processes and follow allow Pfizer procurement processes as applicable.


Applicants must have a background of technical project management or a degree in technology design or programming, or a related field. The applicant must have working experience in communicating to diverse stakeholder groups leveraging effective approaches for communicating information. Strong working knowledge of cloud based management tools, open source concepts and agile delivery principles are a must. Experience with DevOps based teams in large enterprise settings. Extensive experience supporting mid-tier, data integration, SSO, customer identity/access management and back-end technologies.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management preferred.

• 5-10 years of demonstrated experience as an information technology professional in the web and mobile application domains.

• Proven track record demonstrating strong Project planning, management, and organization skills

• Strong skills relative to management, analysis, design, installation, integration and maintenance of applications and related business processes.

• Strong knowledge of web based marketing & 2.0 concepts as applicable to Customer marketing with specific experience in Drupal.

• Experience defining design/architectures and exploring technical feasibility tradeoffs.

• Extensive experience in system analysis, design and development is required

• Strong client engagement skills

• Business analysis and user experience skills are a plus

• Web analytics, Social media project experience is a plus

• Experience with content management systems especially Drupal is required.

• Experience with agile methodology and continuous delivery approaches are a plus.

• Demonstrated progressive experience successfully delivering and maintaining websites and mobile applications. Must have demonstrated competency / expertise in:

- Software Development Lifecycle management, including production system maintenance and operation

- Proven experience working with business teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, and relationship


- High level of awareness of internal and external technology trends.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor a team of project resources to maintain project delivery, architectural vision and software quality


Light Travel required locally, less than once a quarter.

Moderate northeast corridor travel between Pfizer Sites, Collegeville, PA, Peapack NJ, Madison,

NJ, and New York, NY.
