Job Details

The Data Visualization Manager is a role in the Decision Support Centre of Excellence, responsible for delivering, maintaining and supporting global finance wide analytics, data modeling and solutions through advanced visualization, representing large data sets and complex metrics in an easy to read format that enables analysis (trends, drivers, etc.) as well as summarized dashboards.







Job responsibilities







+ Design, develop, test and deploy visualization descriptive and cognitive capabilities in alignment with business vision and objectives, including but not limited to financial dashboard, infographics and ad hoc analytics



+ Responsible for business requirements definition by leading customers working groups and forums, validate business requests and expectations, ensure alignment with state of the art technology, current financial systems landscape and financial processes;



+ Project management of large scale visualization analytics initiatives with global , ensuring coordination between BT, project sponsors and team, customers along all phases of the project;



+ Proactively identify most suitable visual capabilities to represent agreed financial data point and KPI;



+ Ensure user experience with visualization capability is optimized across all delivery channels (including iPhones, iPad, PC, integration into corporate portals);



+ Partner with Business Technology in order to identify most suitable visualization tools and techniques, which are aligned with Pfizer BT strategy and best in class technology;



+ Design user's authentication and security mechanism to meet data confidentiality requirements



+ Drive dashboards adoption, partnering and supporting business sponsors in training, definition and execution of communication plans, socialization and change management.



+ Drive global standards in financial data visualization, formats, KPIs, definitions and technical architecture. Promote DS CoE global financial dashboards adoption in opposition to local tools when possible.



+ Support business requirements validation and dashboard design by delivering prototypes and mock up and deliver demo in business oriented language.



+ Prepare and lead regular updates and presentation to projects steering committees and sponsors.



+ Responsible for visualization service delivery as per agreed SLA's partnering with BT and business owners; data refresh schedule, data validation and notification, alignment with underlying business and IT processes



+ Ensure dashboards are reflecting the latest business model, including hierarchies update, reflecting organizational changes and aligned to the business model evolution



+ Monitor and optimize the utilization of visualization resources, including technical infrastructure and software licenses;



+ Facilitating governance on financial data visualization with senior finance leaders to assess and prioritize visualization requests and ensure alignment to the global standards (security, format, etc.)







Qualifications







+ Knowledge of major IT applications, including SAP ERP, SAP Business Intelligence tools, Hyperion suite of enterprise performance management.



+ Knowledge of data security and protection requirements as well as IT systems authentication procedures



+ Data modelling, understanding of multidimensional vs relational data sources, hierarchies and attributes;



+ Advanced knowledge of the main visualization software, and ability to deliver customized visualization utilizing most suitable tool, including Tableau, Design Studio, Spotfire and others.



+ Advanced Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Access.



+ Advanced knowledge of Alteryx software for data transformation



+ Knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and data validation



+ Project management, proven experience in delivering complex reporting solution on time, through all phases including requirement gathering, sign off, build, testing and deployment



+ Proven experience in change management, training and communication plan creation and delivery.



+ Education: Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Computer Science; Master's degree preferred



+ 5-8 years' experience on financial reporting, descriptive/predictive/diagnostic analysis and business partnering



+ English language proficiency







+ Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability of switching and translating between technical and business language



+ Ability to perform analysis and data discovery on large data sets



+ Ability to work under pressure managing multiple priorities and under tight timelines



+ Ability to operate in a virtual, matrix environment leading project teams and working groups towards project milestones
