Job Title: eCommerce Analytics Specialist
Location: New York, NY
Category: eCommerce

Description:

Across PepsiCo, we continue to build new capabilities that will be critical to achieving long-term, sustainable growth. The operating environment in which we do business is undergoing immense change, and it's imperative that we transform in ways that enable us to meet the future needs of our customers and consumers. Digital technology is one such force of change, and the way we interact with retailers, shoppers and consumers is evolving at a dramatic pace. The impact of Digital / eCommerce has fundamentally evolved and in some cases transformed almost every consumer segment with groceries / consumables being the next space that external experts and large players (e.g., Amazon, Walmart) are betting on. As a result, e-commerce is one of the fastest-growing areas within the consumer products industry and represents a significant opportunity to accelerate growth for PepsiCo going forward.

To ensure we win in this space we have established a dedicated eCommerce group, bringing together world class talent across F&B, digital, and key customers. While tied closely to broader PepsiCo, the eCommerce group has a unique start-up feel and defined values that embrace a more entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action; results oriented; community-focused; prioritization of people.

In order to maintain the necessary pace to meet the growth targets and compete effectively against start-ups or technology competitors requires a step-change in our thinking and traditional approaches to data analytics and utilization. Accordingly, this role will play a critical effort in shaping and executing the global eCommerce growth agenda through leveraging subject matter expertise in eCommerce / Digital analytics. S/he will be tasked with partnering across the team to help identify potential growth opportunities or consumer trends based on gleaning unique insights from the broad data sources through advanced analytical strategies. Successful performance in the role is measured by quality and impact of this work.

Accountabilities:

  • Leverages analytical tools and data science techniques to analyze large data sets and develop custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights in the data
  • Detect, monitor, and forecast trend forces utilizing data sets from multiple sources (both traditional and digital specific)
  • Key stakeholder in driving new thinking around shape of demand forecasting for the eCommerce space
  • Provides critical thought leadership to enhance critical organizational capabilities by utilizing big and small data around Innovation, Brand Strength, eCommerce shopper trends and niche loyalty / basket data
  • Constantly monitor data and analytical trends, emerging tools and technologies and supports strategic leadership in developing common, best and continually improving frameworks, processes and best practices for predictive science
  • Partners with other analytics leaders to help drive training agenda to foster greater analytical capabilities globally
  • Drive critical thinking and understanding in key stakeholders to influence the agenda and approach relative to competitors behaviors, capabilities and positioning

Qualifications:

  • Experience in market research/insights/analytics, business intelligence, competitive intelligence or other similar function. eCommerce / Digital space experience preferred.
  • Experience/familiarity with modeling and analytical methodology including, but not exclusively, longitudinal analyses, multi-level modeling and multivariate analyses of variance
  • BA/BS required
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Highly organized with careful attention to detail
  • Ability to work and influence cross-functionally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Embodies entrepreneurial mindset and key values of having a bias for action, results-oriented, community-focused, and prioritization of people.
