Job Description

Performs various neurodiagnostic testing procedures upon patients of all ages. Duties include the preparation of patients, the conduction of various neurodiagnostic procedures, and the collection of data relevant to the interpretation of the tests. Also performs routine and complex neurodiagnostic tests requested by the physician, adapting appropriate methods and instrumentations to obtain optimal results. This position works under the supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, upon the order of a physician, and in accordance with previously designed and approved procedures. Maintains patient confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center, the hospital centered on your care, opened September 1, 2004. Job Requirements

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program for EEG technology or equivalent.  Must complete the process for registration (Parts I and II) by the American Board for Registration for Electroencephalograph Technologist and/or the equivalent as it applies to any specialty area of Neurodiagnostic testing prior to the end of the first year of employment.  BLS certification at hire.  At least 1 year of experience in neurodiagnostic testing. Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required
