What You’ll do

As a Program Specialist for the Corporate Strategic Innovation Group, you will be responsible for translating strategic direction related internal and external innovation programs into program/project plans. This is a highly collaborative role spanning across different operational functions with a focus on the EMEA Innovation Centers. The candidate will:

  • Manage operations to bring all relevant experts, stakeholders, services and tools together in order to realize scalable processes, strong governance and a culture of data driven decision-making (metrics reporting).

  • Planning and managing programs, events and projects for the Innovation Centers

  • Coordinates the execution of program deliverables to ensure our developers, startups, universities, ecosystem partners, current Cisco customers, portfolio companies and all helping Cisco progress our agenda

  • Works Innovation Center business leads on country needs for programs

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Based in EMEA, you have 2+ years project management in Innovation. Demonstrated business project experience as Project Specialist.

  • Strong project and program management and organizing skills – the ability to develop, execute, track and manage a project plan with hundreds of work elements, and multiple team members, and meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation skills

  • High energy and sense of urgency. Self-starter and self-motivated. Thrive in a pressured environment. Exhibit drive and tenacity

  • Strong project management and analytical skills

Key Responsibilities:                

  • Lead and/or manage projects/programs, create and deliver program performance presentations

  • Drive alignment between programs and resources to optimize output and achieve CSIG objectives

  • Recognize and resolve project issues and coordinate appropriate escalation including managing stakeholder relationships

  • Direct teams and individuals toward project schedules

  • Extract and consolidate performance metrics of the programs and share results with team members, managers and executives to support data driven decision-making (metrics reporting on KPIs).

  • Contribute to overseeing the solutions portfolio and track, on a weekly basis, project plans, as well as record milestones and action items for those projects.

  • Help drive multiple projects, events and collaborate with technical staff, while showing in-depth knowledge and understanding of operations and team structure.

  • Ensure that teams are in line with CSIG reporting processes and that project data are registered in internal/external tools (i.e. SFDC-OBX, CSIGMonde, Smartsheet, Box).

  • Methodically track success stories from internal and external innovation programs.

  • Continue operational rigor, budget, asset inventory and talent management, as well as communication and accountability across CSIG Swiss programs, as well as for the EMEA Innovation Centers.

  • Assist the Swiss team in organizing events and performing project
