Role: Employee Relations Advisor

Location: Reading
Salary: c. 30,000 - 35,000 FTE (depending on experience)
At PepsiCo we're looking for a passionate Employee Relations Advisor to join our team on a Part Time basis.
Supporting our Corporate Functions at our Head Office in Reading, you will focus on a range of ER topics and provide coaching to line managers to play an active role as appropriate. With the support of an onsite Legal Counsel you will play a role supporting complex cases with possibilities to support a wider transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Work with Line Managers and HR Managers to ensure effective delivery of Performance Management, Disciplinary, Grievance, Absence Management Processes as well as Code of Conduct/Speak Up investigations.
Act as Process expert - providing very clear and specific coaching, support and direction to managers
Build capability of new/first time managers - With HQ functions - ER capability of managers is often unpractised, and therefore the position holder may require need to build invest time in coaching and supporting managers
Delivery of training/education workshops - build the capability of experienced managers to reduce the reliance on ER Specialist to support low value add processes
Establish Service Level Agreements with Key stakeholders and then measure performance against the SLAs
Deliver specific ER projects/assignments such as development of handbooks, policies and procedures
Engage Legal Counsel where required to mitigate risk
Partner with HRBP/Local HR to identify patterns/trends of ER that may suggest underlying issues


Key Skills Required
Demonstrates strong working knowledge of employment policies, and employment legislation within BU and ability to practically implement that knowledge within PepsiCo
Strong Coaching/Counselling skills
Able to collaborate and influence Senior Leaders - providing expert advice, guiding them and challenging them - this require the ability to build credibility quickly through their knowledge of ER expertise with a smooth influencing style
Able to balance legal risk with business benefit to ensure that the best outcome is reached on employment related issues
Personal values consistent with PepsiCo Values to ensure that Code of Conduct is upheld in every decision taken
