In a call center environment, Engagement Specialists must use their knowledge, skills, and abilities to engage and enroll members into the appropriate health management program. Acting as a team player and demonstrating accountability, high performance, integrity and compliance are necessary for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Interact with patients via telephone; Schedule appointments, Follow up calls to assess understanding of services, answer questions and ascertain that additional procedures have been completed
  • Engage member telephonically to participate in the assessment process and collaboratively develop plan of care based on their individual needs, preferences, and objectives according to state and national guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Collaborates and communicates with the member’s health care and service with our interdisciplinary delivery team to coordinate the care needs for the member
  • Enroll and refer members to appropriate programs and service and work with internal partners to create a culture of health and wellness that promotes member health
  • Accurately documents consumer interaction and appropriately follow all processes and procedures
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience in a Customer Service environment (proven customer service skills and experience)
  • Ability to create, edit, copy, send and save documents, correspondence and spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) of Arts or Sciences
  • Call Center experience
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Customer Service skills; Ability to identify with a consumer in order to understand and align with their needs and realities. Able to turn situations around and go above and beyond to meet the needs of the member.
  • Self-motivated and receives constructive feedback; Ability to take responsibility and internally driven to accomplish goals and recognize what needs to be done in order to achieve a goal(s).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information from others
  • Capable of setting priorities and performing well under pressure to meet program targets and deadlines
  • Dedicated to consistent and measurable high performance in current role, strong commitment to ongoing development until suitable advancement opportunities are available.
