The Engagement Specialist with UHC of MN, ND and SD supports planning and producing innovative communication projects from inception to completion. Projects include print (e.g. posters, brochures, self–mailers) and digital (emails, websites, videos) materials that educate and influence members to improve their health. The Engagement Specialist will guide brokers and Key Account employers on strategic communication planning. In addition, the
Engagement Specialist will develop tactical plans, set schedules, assign tasks, secure production quotes and specifications, and deliver quality materials. The Engagement Specialist will liaise with national marketing organizations across the enterprise, designers, printers and other vendors while managing the flow of information to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Identify and leverage standard marketing collateral, identifying any gaps and creating custom materials when needed
  • Project manage production of consumer communications, primarily targeted to employees and family members of Key Account employers
  • Support sales efforts by presenting to brokers and prospective customers on value and capabilities of local Engagement Team
  • Plan and execute production schedules for all print, digital and other creative campaigns; track status and help set priorities to ensure task completion
  • Work proactively with vendors to ensure continuous improvements and optimal production solutions for new and existing materials
  • Develop specifications for new components with vendors
  • Process and track projects and printer proofs with vendors
  • Influence and provide input to forecasting and planning activities
  • Liaise with Analytics team for segmentation, data targeting and results reporting to customers / brokers
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processed, expertise and judgment
  • Manage organization, storage and distribution of completed projects in physical and digital formats
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
  • 3+ years of experience with creative teams
  • 3+ years of experience with project and / or traffic management
  • 3+ years of experience with customer interaction (internal and / or external)
  • Working knowledge of the creative process and general creative workflow
  • Experience with marketing / consumer communications
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email, phone and face-to-face
  • Strong, attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and creative thinking skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines while under pressure
  • Strong skills in agility, along with ability to pivot easily when directions and priorities change on short notice
  • Other: Friendly, enthusiastic, curious and energetic with a passion for the creative process and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
