The Team

The CSG connected car engineering team designs and develops hardware and software which are integral part in connecting various components of Car/Automotive internally and externally. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting edge product which will shape the industry which is in nascent stage and has multi-billion dollar potential.

Role & Responsibilities
The Connected Car seeks an experienced Leader to manage delivery of software and firmware to provide connectivity to cars. The Senior Development Manager’s primary responsibility is to lead a team of experienced development engineers who have hardware, firmware and software backgrounds. The candidate should also have an excellent project management experience as this project works with various external and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of systems and the related technology. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with management and technical skills to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment. 

Work with a team of motivated A-players on the Connected car software team to
* Execute the solution in this new and emerging market

* Impact the future of networking by developing disruptive game changing systems and software
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams at various stages such as PRD, functional spec, design reviews, test and launch
* Help with customer escalations in the role of a technical expert representing the business unit.
* Promote and cultivate team spirit and culture across the global team built on open communication, collaboration, teamwork, trust and integrity. 
* Manage employee career development and performance by effectively using leadership skills like coaching/mentoring, critical thinking, facilitating change and team development
* Instill a laser-sharp focus on quality while meeting the release cadence
* Showcase our products and solutions at various customer events and shows

Minimum Qualifications 
* 10 years of work experience in embedded software development with related architecture and engineering leadership experience
* Minimum 3 years of experience in managing teams.
* Prior experience in developing operating systems internals and infrastructure 
* Good understanding of embedded networking including drivers

* Experience in all phases of SW development cycle with exposure to agile development methodologies

* Understanding of development life cycle on ODM projects

* BS/MS degree in CS/EE/CE or technical equivalent.
* Excellent written and communication Skills. Ability to express complex technological concepts with a non-confrontational debating style.

Desired Skills
* Experience managing original design manufacturing (ODM) vendors on Hardware and Software projects

* Good understanding of concepts in operating system, Inter process communication, high availability etc.
* Solid networking foundation

* IoT networking experience

* Drivers, Firmware, Hardware experience

* Automotive environments like AUTOSAR, AGL etc. will be a plus
