The Cisco Kinetic Platform team is building the next generation IoT Platform to manage over 10 million devices and terabytes of data per second. The scale required to connect, manage, secure, process and move data from these devices in a useful way is unprecedented and is going to require significant innovation to meet the challenge. Team
Supporting the above charter, the Engineering / OEM Program Manager is driving Cloud based Agile software engineering processes by bringing the necessary resources needed from stakeholders. As the technical program manager, you will be responsible for developing, executing the plans by collaborating extensively with internal and external teams.
The successful candidate will have strong problem solving and communication skills along with a passion for helping solve difficult issues and keeping teams committed across global eng teams and third party OEM vendors

 

Responsibilities include ensuring that all Engineering Commits meet to level SW Release Plan milestones
* Work with key stakeholders to secure commitments for the necessary resources to complete the planned activities and conduct the required reviews to deliver products on-time
* Be required to lead the product team in a matrix management structure while tracking schedules and program dependencies.
* The potential candidate would interface across all levels, including executives, within the BU and collaborate with Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Documentation, Training, CA, and Manufacturing teams.
* The Engineering Program Manager would ensure that effective processes are in place and functioning to achieve the end goals of the program, while also driving towards continuous improvement. Experienced in driving OEM programs to very tight schedules
* Work with engineering teams to identify the steps required to deliver complex solutions with quality
* Develop complete and well thought out execution plans that incorporate sound contingency planning and risk assessments. Lead meetings to resolve conflicts, facilitate decision making, and drive timely execution. Collaboratively interface with external teams to obtain mutual wins
* Program Manage the development of complex system solutions involving cross functional teams such as Hardware, Software, Test, Mechanical/Thermal, Compliance, Manufacturing etc. Track multiple project tasks to proactively anticipate problems, while always maintaining a solution orientation and a well-balanced perspective around risks and escalations
* Work with management to develop complex plans with considerable interdependencies, including contingency plans for dealing with potential or anticipated obstacles and changes
* Keep goals and schedules highly visible in the organization to ensure that individuals and teams are driven to high levels of productivity.

Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or electrical engineering discipline plus 10+ years of related work experience.
* Previous engineering development experience within an agile environment
* Previous experience with managing complex Cloud based SW release programs

* Previous experience with managing and driving OEM / ODM programs
