Pfizer Ireland Pharmaceuticals Grange Castle manufacturing plant is situated on a 90-acre site in South Dublin. Grange Castle's state of the art technology & production expertise results in the production of quality-driven products that improve people's lives around the world.

Grange Castle houses state-of-the-art pilot-plant, laboratories and equipment for the development of processes for production of many different types of biological drugs, including proteins.

The **EHS Specialist** will be responsible for the following:

+ To support functional areas assigned providing advice on a range of EHS issues, sharing best practices with peers and driving continual improvement.

+ Management of the integrated Environmental (ISO 14001), Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) Management System.

+ Support and continuously improve the site Incident & Injury Free (IIF) cultural safety programme.

+ Specific roles may be assigned as required to support the EHS function. One or more of these may include:

+ Environmental Compliance, IEL, GHG, Radiological Protection or GMM

+ Compliance monitoring and waste management

+ Chemical approvals, REACH, Bio-safety

+ Industrial Hygiene, ergonomics

+ Management systems, risk assessments, business continuity and crisis management or auditing

+ Project management, permit to work, COHE or MS review

+ Emergency Organisation, first aid or incident investigation lead

+ Communications, Mirashare management


+ Industrial hygiene

+ Support\\lead site and corporate sustainability initiatives and programmes **Appllicants will have:-**

+ A third level qualification in a relevant discipline.

+ Significant experience in a pharma / chemical company

+ Ability to collate and analyse EHS data to support decision making process.

+ An effective communicator, able to engage and coach others at various levels in the organisation with regard to EHS challenges and opportunities in the manufacturing and support functions and work with these customers to develop and implement solutions.

+ Knowledge of ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, to support the development and implementation of EHS objectives and maintenance of compliance.

+ Ability to build relationships with manufacturing customers and EHS regulators.

+ Manage contractors, associated budgets and feeding into annual budget development. The successful candidate will be involved in supporting new technologies and projects at one of the largest and most complex pharmacuetical sites. Closing date for applications is Wednesday 14th February.
