Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Environmental Services/Custodial Manager for the Philadelphia market in healthcare.  The successful candidates will require prior operational responsibility for an Environmental Services/custodial department with direct manager reports and frontline staff. This position includes responsibility for EVS and Linen Distribution, along with managing frontline employees on a particular shift to deliver high quality services at a very dynamic acute care facility covering 750,000 cleanable square feet.  This is a third shift opportunity supporting a team of 7 employees.  Will need to be flexible to cover other shifts as needs arise.

  

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical skills are necessary. This individual must have good knowledge of Sodexo EVS operating/housekeeping systems including FOSS and CARES, TRAKKAR and SHINE. Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.

Position Summary

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.

Key Duties
-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.

-Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees
-Coordinate/conduct employee training
-Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)
-Interact with outside vendors
-Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.
-Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified.
-Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
