Position Summary:

The Manager directs and administers the Environmental Services Program. Maintains the hospital enviroment in a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition. Supervises and coordinates the work activities of the Enviromental Services personnel. Achieves department objectives by providing quality enviromental services.

1.Implements safety programs that teach equipment maintenance and accident prevention to ensure proper working condition of all equipment and the safety of all staff members.
2. Develops and maintains documentation and other criteria as required by all regulatory agencies.
3. Directs training sessions to ensure that each department member has been properly trained to use all products and equipment as outlined in the Policy and Procedure manuals for Enviromental Services
4. Serves as a resource and ensures communication for administration, staff, and hospital personnel by communicating new industry, cleaning, and operational trends. Communication methods include participation on hospital committees and conducting departmnt meetings and training sessions.
5.Develops and maintains an organizational structure and staffing schedules.

 
Requirements
A minimum of Three (3) years of Enviromental Services Management in a healthcare facility. Demonstrates self starter attributes with resourceful approaches to problem resolution,. Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain positive top management relations. Possesses effective verbal and writtten communication skills in english and conversational spanish.  College degree preferred.
