As an Event Support Specialist, you will travel to events throughout the United States and U.S. territories to provide administrative event support on behalf of LHI. In this role, you will also perform audits on event procedures, contracted staffing efforts and / or provide on-location data entry. In-office responsibilities include reporting results from event audits and assisting in EOC department day to day operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform in a high visibility, non-people management role responsible for effectively administratively supporting and auditing event functions and teams.
  • Travel to identified locations and, in close coordination with EOC Leadership/Staff, complete all tasks related to event specific requirements.
  • Travel may be up to 70% of the position during peak times and a minimum of 10%.  
  • Most travel will occur over weekends and span across 3 - 5 consecutive days.
  • Work with EOC Leadership Team to implement, update, administer and evaluate internal / external processes and materials utilized to support LHI Network Providers/Practitioner / Customer in their service delivery requirements.
  • Assess and resolve provider concerns and develop and implement solutions that are beneficial to providers, LHI Customers and LHI.
  • Communicate effectively between the customer, provider, practitioner and LHI.
  • Document results from audits and follow through on any defects or identified areas of improvement.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with the applicable regulations and law, satisfaction participants, and resolution of any problems that arise.
  • Once fully trained, this position will be proficient in all processes for event delivery, be knowledgeable in customer requirements and expectations and understand the specialties at events and = expectations for each role.
  • High School Diploma / GED or higher
  • Ability and interest to travel to identified locations up to 70% of the position during peak times and a minimum of 10% regularly within US and US Territories
  • Flexible schedule - Must have open availability throughout the week as schedule will vary
  • 2+ years work related experience in customer service, leadership, training or provider relations
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook (Word - creating and editing docs / Excel - entering data / Outlook - managing email and calendar)
  • Ability to travel over weekends with spans that may last 3 - 5 consecutive days
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Defense Health Agency eQuip Form SF86
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of military databases and acronyms
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience and / or applicable military experience will be considered
  • National Career Readiness Certificate

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-faceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Capable of lifting up to 35lbs frequently (34-66% of the time)
  • Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, package and transport (shift/roll/push/pull) multi-sized packages that range from 10 – 35lbs frequently and 50+lbs occasionally to rarely with assistance.

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group’s contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86, (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or “NACLC”). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.
