Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is seeking a dynamic and talented Executive Assistant

Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health offers a 108 Bed Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital for Acute Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorders. We offer both inpatient and outpatient services. Services are offered for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Key Responsibilities include:

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the CEO and the Administration Department staff, including performing clerical duties, preparing reports, prepares meeting agendas, coordinating conference the room schedule, attending departmental and clinical meetings, transcribes minutes as well as completes appropriate follow-up generated from these meetings as assigned by the CEO.   Coordinate medical staff activities, maintaining medical staff files, contract administration and credentialing medical staff. Perform clerical tasks for CEO and Medical Director including facility administrative records, answering/initiating phone calls coordinate with Directors and Facility Management to gather information to respond to inquiries and/or prepare reports as requested. Actively participates in all related surveys related to credentialing and ensures adequacy and coordination of information required to successfully meet applicable standards resulting in achievement of successful accreditation. Ensures compliance with applicable Federal/State laws, Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and other applicable policies and procedures, relating to credentialing functions.  Develops and maintains effective working relationships with all medical staff and allied health applicants and members, medical staff leadership, providing consultative expertise, administrative and other delegated support as necessary for them to fulfill their obligations. In addition works with the multiple credentialing organizations to ensure timely credentialing process for initial appointments and re-applicants to the medical staff and allied health staff, as per the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, including the review of any additional privileges requested and obtains appropriate approvals/signatures and distributes.  Investigates credentialing concerns identified through the verification process, and communicates findings with the Director of Medical Staff Services and respective department/committee chairs for further follow-up.  This position is responsible for the management, supervision, interviewing, training and scheduling of the front reception desk personnel.

Job Requirements

Education:  Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Experience:   At least three (3) years experience as an Administrative Assistant in a health care setting or business environment is preferred. At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
