Cisco seeks an Executive Administrative Professional to provide support for the Vice President of Corporate Development Integration (CDI). The Executive Assistant must develop a solid understanding of CDI's role in CSO, CDI's extended team in Cisco's functions and relationships the VP CDI needs to maintain across Cisco. The Executive Assistant will be extremely proactive with a professional and approachable demeanor in all interactions; possess exceptional communication skills with all levels of staff, executives, customers, vendors. The Executive Assistant will exercise sound judgment and discretion, maintain a high level of integrity and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. Cisco executives generally have global responsibilities which may require the Executive Assistant to be flexible with their availability. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute multiple tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and willing to adapt to changing needs and will have proven experience in:

* Calendar Management: Managing VP's calendar and daily schedule to include prioritizing conflicting meeting requests, tracking action items and commitments of executive and following-up to ensure completion. This will require exceptional organization skills, juggling multiple priorities and keeping a busy executive on track and on schedule.

* Event Speaking Engagement Coordination: Managing a running list of VPs engagements and works closely with communications team to ensure content needs are understood and set in motion so VP is prepared for each engagement.

* Meeting Planning and organizations: Assisting VP in planning and organizing meetings by taking responsibility for assembling the agenda, location, accommodating technology requirements based upon participant needs, and all other meeting logistics. May further prepare meeting briefing documents by taking and disseminating notes and formulating post meeting action item list. This will include internal standing meetings such as staff meetings, internal leadership meetings and the extended staff meeting including representatives from all Cisco's major functions.

* Correspondence/Approvals: Supporting VP by acting as proxy for communications and approvals as authorized. Answering general questions as necessary, referring (filtering) routine matters to appropriate parties, and following up to ensure proper disposition. Taking initiative to resolve problems within specified policies and guidelines, and providing mentorship to administrative community members on problem solving. Determining when executive action is required and supplying a recommendation where appropriate.

* Travel and Expense Management: Responsible for making in-depth global travel arrangements for VP and managing Cisco expenses.

* Special Projects: Providing analytical support to assist executive on special projects. Researching issues, analyzing problems, compiling data, and preparing reports.

* Confidentiality: Candidate will deal professionally with highly sensitive and confidential matters and materials.

Who You'll Work With

The Corporate Development Integration team at Cisco reports to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) who is part of Cisco's Executive Leadership Team. The CSO's charter includes the ongoing development and coordination of Cisco's corporate strategy and its growth strategy through business development activities including acquisitions, equity investment, and the incubation of innovative technologies. The Corporate Development Integration team partners with the Corporate Development team and business leaders integrate acquisitions into Cisco, divest business units and drive execution of joint ventures.

The Integration team within CSO is responsible for engaging early in the deal cycle to provide input on go-to-market and operational leverage points, conducting operational diligence on potential targets, and for planning and successfully executing on the operationalization of transactions, inclusive of people, processes, systems, and infrastructure.

Who You Are

You have experience providing support at the VP level. You take initiative, can handle a full desk with ease and thrive in a busy environment. 

Our minimum requirements for this role:

* 8+ years' experience in administrative environment. A minimum of 4 years of experience supporting a principal who was at the VP level.

* Outstanding track record of performance.

* Experience in planning meetings and coordinating travel.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Expert level knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Desired Skills

* Preferred: BA/BS or equivalent experience.

* Past work experience in the high-tech industry
