Executive Assistant – SVP, Legal Services and General Counsel

What You'll Do
Cisco seeks an Executive Administrative Professional to provide support for the Senior Vice President, Legal Services and General Counsel.


Responsibilities include:
• Calendar Management: Manages SVP's calendar by prioritizing schedules and meetings.

• Key Meeting Management:  Handle Board of Director and Board Committee meeting scheduling and logistics.

• Meeting Planning and Organization:  Assists SVP in planning and organizing meetings by taking responsibility for location, meeting technology based upon participant needs, and meeting logistics, as needed.  May further prepare meeting briefing documents by taking and disseminating notes and formulating post meeting action item list.

• Correspondence/Approvals:  Supports SVP by answering general inquiries, as necessary.  Filters and refers routine matters to appropriate parties, and follows up to ensure proper disposition.  Provides mentoring to administrative community members.  Determines when executive action is required and supplies a recommendation where appropriate.
• Special Projects:  Could entail coordination, authoring presentations, preparing meeting agendas, notes, etc. 

• Confidentiality:  Candidate will deal professionally with sensitive and confidential matters and materials.

• Mentor new Executive and Administrative Assistants.  Participates in a cross-functional EA network and lead the organization’s community of Admins.

Who You'll Work With
In this role, the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President, Legal Services and General Counsel will work with the worldwide Legal organization, primarily interfacing with the Legal Leadership Team and Legal administrative team.  Will also work closely with the Cisco Board of Directors and the Board Committee as well as members of the Executive Leadership Team and their administrative teams.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

● EA or equivalent experience; 8+ years’ experience in the administrative environment.  A minimum of four years working at the Executive level
● Preferred: BA/BS or equivalent experience; past work experience in the high-tech industry

● Experience working with public company board of directors and experience with public company reporting cycles (earnings, SEC filings, etc.)
● Working knowledge of Windows desktop computer applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

● Experience in planning meetings 
● Ability to navigate web and email at high competency knowledge
● Ability to multi-task

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of Executive/Senior staff and clients
● Ability to work with minimal to no instruction on routine tasks and new projects.
● Works in an organized and disciplined manner.  Detail oriented.

● Advanced desktop calendar management program experience.

● Daily presence in the San Jose Cisco office.
