Unit Description

Sodexo Corporate Services North America is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 1 for our premier client in Brentwood, Tennessee.

 

The successful candidate will have direct oversight of a unit where Sodexo provides breakfast and lunch service to a building population of about 1300, as well as vending and both casual and upscale catering. The Executive Chef will lead a small team of 12 frontline employees.

 

This position supports all facets of daily culinary production including all daily retail and catering production, deployment of wellness strategies, and overseeing the development of kitchen employees. The best qualified candidate will have excellent leadership experience and a focus on safety and sanitation and quality and standards. 

 

We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills. This is a high-level culinary management role, but will also be hands-on as needed to support operations.

 

Responsibilities will include:  

  • Menu creation and food costing
  • Strong focus on high quality food presentation
  • All food production training, quality control, and outcomes
  • Strong compliance with HACCP and Food Safety

Our ideal Executive Chef will be outgoing and enjoy being engaged with customer and clients.

 

This is a great opportunity with a Monday through Friday, Business & Industry schedule!  However, client employees work one weekend per month and may require catering.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Key Duties
-Executes the culinary function
-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
