Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for a lead Executive Chef 1 at University Hospital Brooklyn, NY 

 

 

University Hospital of Brooklyn is a 300 bed hospital providing food service to patients and-staff. The Executive Chef will be responsible for daily kitchen operations. Supervision of all production for retail and patient services. Daily monitoring of recipe compliance and quality control. Inventory and ordering of food and supplies for all aspects of the operation. Making sure all retail and cafe are replenished, menu planning, ordering, inventory, managing the BOH staff of 15 employees, and knowledge of EFY program a plus. 

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Key Duties
-Executes the culinary function
-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
