Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for an Executive Chef 1 to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Chantilly, VA.  Sodexo has partnered with Quest for 15 years.  The food operation at this location consist of 1 corporate cafe and catering operations. 


The Executive Chef 1 will be responsible for the culinary operation for a building population of 1000 people This is an hands on working chef position.  The position will work a Monday - Friday schedule from 5am to 3pm.  The facility does have a 3rd shift from 10:00 pm - 4:00 am and the Executive Chef will have responsibility for some food prep for that shift. Duties of the role include but not limited to:

  • Menu planning
  • Managing a staff of 6 hourly employees
  • Ordering
  • Inventory
  • Food and labor cost
  • Client and guest interaction
  • HAACP compliance

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution
Key Duties
-Executes the culinary function
-Customer & Client satisfaction
-Manages food & physical safety program.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
