Sodexo, leader in quality of life solutions is currently seeking a High Performer to work as an Executive Chef at Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury, Minnesota.  Woodwinds Health Campus, a member of HealthEast/Fairview System, opened its’ 86-bed hospital in August 2000. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it’s the only hospital in the southeast metro area. 

 

The Executive Chef will work closely with the General Manager to develop creative ideas for increasing service delivery for our guests. The Executive Chef will oversee retail food service, patient meal service, catering and food production to ensure we deliver an outstanding customer experience for patients, visitors and staff.

 

A creative mindset, commitment to operational excellence standards, willingness to coach and develop others, openness to change, and attention to detail and follow-through will encourage success in this Executive Chef position.  Technical skills include experience with food production, safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, inventory management, etc.),  Microsoft Office, computer-generated menu and graphics programming.  Additionally, the Executive Chef will appreciate the importance of partnering with hospital leaders and employees in other departments to exceed expectations of patients and guests.

 

We are looking for Executive Chef candidates who will:

 

  • Provide team leadership by ensuring cohesiveness in the FANS departments and with administration
  • Constantly improve food service operations in order to drive patient and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and implement sanitary and food safety conditions and training to adhere to auditing procedures and statutory regulations
  • Drive innovative strategies for patient satisfaction
  • Develop a business plan for the administration that establishes a rapport, promotes partnership and exceeds the administrations’ needs and expectations
  • Monitor and manage operations by comparing contract guarantees to historical and present data to analyze and make effective decisions; Manage the budget by increasing revenue and controlling costs, reviewing financial statements and tracking operating expenses
  • Accountable for the execution of product and service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives as well as create a positive work environment
  • Develop strategic plans for account retention and growth

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
