Sodexo at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an experienced Executive Chef with a passion for high quality food service!

 

Sodexo at Northwest Community Healthcare is a 455 bed hospital located in Arlington Heights, IL.  The Executive Chef will oversee a culinary team of 12 cooks and ensure quality production for At Your Request (AYR) Patient menu as well as a busy Cafeteria and Coffee Shop exceeding 1.9 M in retail sales a year.  

 

The best qualified Executive Chef candidates will have: 

  • Experience with Sodexo Food Management (FMS) Sodexo Menu Graphics, Market Connection and At Your Request Dining (AYR) or similar programs is preferred. 
  • Previous Management experience leading a team of culinarians is required
  • High level of catering experience and creativity when it comes to special events is desired.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
-  Manages food & physical safety programs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
