Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 to support accounts in the Healthcare Northeast business segment.  This position is responsible for the Management of kitchen operations and supports the Retail and Catering Functions.  This role requires a dynamic leader who has a proven history of organizational, communication and Team management skills. Strong financial acumen is a must. Proven demonstrated knowledge and implementation of Sodexo programs including Mindful, Food Management System, Sodexo Menu Graphics and UFS is plus. Emphasis on growing retail sales and improving Press Ganey results is required by the candidate. Analysis of data trends and course correction will be key to success. Production knowledge, people skills and labor management will be required by the candidate.  #LI

 

This is a full time temporary position that can last up to one year and will initially be assigned at St. Lukes Hospital located in New Bedford, MA.  At any time after onboarding, the successful candidate is able to for internal positions within Health Care.  Must be will to travel.

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
-  Manages food & physical safety programs.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
