Sodexo Corporate Services is looking for a Resource/Floating Executive Chef 2 to join our team and work in high profile accounts in the Washington DC Metro Area. These assignments are for up to 1 year with a strong possibility of permanent placement.  


As a Resource/Floating Executive Chef 2 you will be Responsible for covering for other chefs who are out on vacation, FMLA, Workman's Comp.  Duties include overall preparation & presentation of food, menu development and execution, cost management, HR functions, training of production staff and overseeing the food safety program. 


Ideal Executive Chef 2 candidate will have exceptional communication skills, an eye for high end restaurant quality food, and a high level of organization. A strong focus in customer service, culinary expertise and attention to detail are key in our selection process.  Computer skills and basic accounting skills are required

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
-  Manages food & physical safety programs.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree 
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
