Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for an Executive Chef at Endicott College in Beverly, MA- The location is located in the North Shore of MA –   A brand new state of the art dining facility has opened at Endicott College ,  with 2540 students on the meal plan, high end catering and three retail units with plans to open one more this year.

 

The Executive Chef will oversee and direct the resident dining location, three retail, catering and summer conference business. The successful candidate will oversees culinary staff of20 union employees and a Production manager.

 

In this role; you will work closely with the management staff.

 

 Responsibilities also include:

  • Training , developing of the culinary staff
  • Presentation of food 
  • Menu planning/creation
  • Team building
  • Scheduling
  • Hands-on food preparation
  • Inventory, purchasing compliance, and food costing and managing day to day metrics surrounding food
  • HACCP, training, leading, managing the culinary team
  • Special events

 

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a large sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. 
Key Duties
- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. 
- Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
- Manages catering & retail areas.
- Customer & Client satisfaction.
- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
- Manages food & physical safety programs.
 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
