Sodexo in Corporate Services is looking for an Executive Director – Facilities Management! This is a prestigious Global account with a portfolio that has offices in North & Latin America. This position is based in the USA in the Austin, Texas. The USA portfolio comprises 75+ sites in North America & The Americas. Bilingual English/Spanish candidate is preferred.


Prior experience at the executive level required in the real estate/facilities management.  We are looking for that executive presence and strong client influencing skills.  This Executive Director will have strong leadership of managers and frontline staff, technical capabilities and sound financial acumen are required. Safety, planning, scheduling, business acumen at a very high level. Proven results and customer satisfaction and hospitality and strategic planning are desired. Experience in real estate/facilities management is required!   Services performed by Sodexo include all hard and soft services including managing office space globally so understanding cultures in the Americas is critical.


This individual must have project management experience in overseeing large in progress projects at multiple locations within the area of responsibility. This individual must have experience in managing and coordinating resources required to provide strategic direction to support business development and sales growth processes for the Facilities Solutions Division.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Strong operational leader who owns the overall services delivery of the model including data center, innovation hubs and office locations in North America & the Americas.
  • The ability to speak Spanish
  • P&L/Operational Responsibility for North America & Services in the Americas.
  • Managing capital planning
  • Data Centers, Technology, Real Estate Offices & Call Centers
  • Develops exceptional client relations & ensures the facilities product offerings/ solutions align with client needs.
  • Build and foster relationships across Sodexo internally to ensure additional market growth & promotion of comprehensive solutions offerings to clients.
  • Collaborate with the management team, inspiring strategic direction, secure and deploy resources, cultivate relations within the teams at each designated unit.
  • Drive solutions that optimize the current facilities portfolio.
  • Play a key role & enthusiastically supporting the succession planning and development of key personnel within area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the organization’s core values are modeled & driven throughout the region.

You should have a proven ability in all types of financial contracts. Strong financial acumen required. Able to multi-task. Communication, follow up and proactive competencies a must. This Executive Director role will be expected to travel 50% including traveling outside USA.  You must live near a major airport.


Position Summary

The Executive Director of Facilities Operations leads or directs facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single mega-site or multi-site unit.   This position may function as head of a small mega-site unit with three levels of management reporting up to this position; or may assist in the leadership of a large mega or multi-site unit reporting up to a VP, Facilities Operations. The Executive Director of Facilities Operations leads or assists in the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services which support and improve the effectiveness of its primary activities.  At the organizational level, the Executive Director of Facilities Operations may contribute to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs, and improving the productivity, revenue generating capacity and image of the entire organization. This position ensures a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.  The Executive Director of Facilities Operations often manages construction work and may coordinate and/or oversee contracted services for major construction. The position often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or  logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree

Basic Management Experience - 7 years

Basic Functional Experience- 7 years in facilities management, engineering, management of business/operations service in both soft and hard facilities services
