As a key member of the UnitedHealth Group Experience Center, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of this state-of-the-art facility. The Executive Briefing Manager will manage expectations of the National Growth Office and External Affairs whom are looking to grow the UHG business and educate government officials; hosting high-profile client executives, policy makers, and customers; as well as supporting C-suite executives from the broader enterprise. Daily duties include strategic planning and collaboration with the sales teams, the set-up and management of events, including catering and logistics, as well as presenting the UnitedHealth Group story in a dynamic, personal way. This candidate will have a high aptitude for the healthcare industry, and a basic understanding of technology solutions. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with a desire to drive successful and productive outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with hosts to understand the desired outcomes and objectives, consult on overall utilization of the Experience Center and technical assets within
  • Consult, collaborate, and guide hosts in building out agendas for upcoming Official and Customer visits
  • Provide strategic partnership in the development of the business with a high level understanding of the enterprise and varied business segments, Subject Matter Experts, tools and solutions
  • Work with cross-functional and/or cross-segment teams to meet the objectives of the customer visit and overall business goals.
  • Develop, manage, and coordinate logistics involved in all aspects of presentations/sales demonstrations / calendars, etc., including:
    • Catering and Audio/Visual
    • Procuring Subject Matter Experts
    • Creating Client Dossiers
    • Presenting the UnitedHealth Group story
  • Maintain large scale integrated applications with various interfaces for creating and pushing digital content
  • Curating demonstrations which meet the desired expectation, and updating the collateral repository to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and timeliness of materials
  • Establishing / updating talking points that enable dynamic storytelling
  • Solve unique and complex logistical problems
  • Consistently strive to improve processes

 Desired Skills:

  • A proactive, self-starter who leads by example; contributes to building a positive team environment, and demonstrates ability to adapt / manage ambiguous situations
  • Executive presence and professional presentation skills to communicate with all levels of an organization, including C-suite audiences - both internal and external
  • Relationship proficiency with the ability to build rapport across the various UHG business units
  • Fostering relationships with peers, colleagues, vendors and facilities management
  • Commitment to maintaining high level of standards, providing best-in-class customer service in a high-intensity environment
  • Actively support and exhibit UHG’s core values: Compassion, Relationships, Integrity, Performance, and Innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of client facing  experience (preferably within the healthcare or technology industry)
  • 2 or more years of presenting to the C-Suite  
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Based in Washington, DC
Preferred: Qualifications:
  • Foundational understanding of Mobile Technology, Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence
Soft Skills:
  • Ability to inform and create energy as it relates to UHG’s tools and solutions
  • Demonstrated experience with successful navigation in large-scale, complex organizations
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
