Position Summary:

Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services is the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the behavioral healthcare needs of our community.  Our 102-bed inpatient services for adults and adolescents offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilizatin, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning.  Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

We are currently seeking a qualified Expressive Therapist to join our talented and caring staff.  Position schedule is "rotating" with a typical schedule of every Tuesday and Friday (9am - 5:30pm) and rotating Wednesdays and Saturdays (9am - 5:30pm).  Open to schedule change based on availability.

The Expressive Therapist will provide expressive arts therapies on inpatient units for adult and adolescent acute psychiatric treatment, adult substance use disorder treatment, and adult trauma-focused treatment.

Qualifications: Must be a graduate from an accredited ET program, preferably with certification and licensure, or license eligible.  Prefer at least 1 year of experience working on an inpatient psychiatric and/or substance use disorder treatment program, but excellence communication skills and a consistently positive attitude are the most important qualities for our successful candidate.  We are looking for someone who gets along well with others, regularly demonstrates maturity, is resourceful, and professional.  Must be able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative and supportive team.  This setting requires a confident, flexible, creative therapist who is willing to use a variety of modalities, including ET and verbal therapy to accommodate the ever-changing needs of this short term inpatient population.
