Job Description

The FLNA Hard Services Facilities Manager is responsible for directing and implementing policy for building operations and engineering. FLNA includes 4 buildings, 800M s.f. company- owned facilities with over 2500 associates. The Facilities Manager is responsible for assuring the quality and timely delivery of all Facilities Operations including moves, adds & changes, building repair & maintenance (mechanical, electrical, fire control, plumbing, etc.), preventive maintenance, compliance and oversight of outside service providers. The FM will be responsible for directing the building engineering teams, assuring maintenance of building systems infrastructure, grounds, environmental controls, and energy use. They will also assure compliance with applicable fire and life safety standards.

The position is also responsible for managing and oversight of the execution of remodel and construction projects including the review of blueprints for possible conflicts, cost savings, and best construction practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide daily supervision/development of 10 full-time associates and 3 contract laborers. Direct daily/weekly activity and oversee facility work order requests and mechanical repairs. Develop key metrics drivers for work order compliance within team. Manage and oversee cabling infrastructure for the building and voice services. Directly liaise with the IT infrastructure team for network management and support AV services as necessary.
  • M/A/C and Internal Project Management. Oversight and management of internal projects including budget and scheduling development and control. Support workplace group in design development and support the M/A/C process with voice/data and project management.
  • Manage compliance of all building operations contracts including RFP/selection/purchase order/ invoice process. Ensure contract compliance for all outside service providers.
  • Manage, maintain, and update records for Green Team, Safety Team and any other audit and compliance organization. Liaise with R&D and Security to develop proper roles and responsibilities in these areas.
  • Site Management Troubleshooting and developing strategy for continuous improvement in facilities services. Lead cross training efforts internal to FLNA and across the North Texas facilities group. Analyze team activity for productivity results.
  • Responsible for forecasting and complying with the annual operating and capital budget totaling $24.0 million.
  • Develop and track capital expenditure budgets and set strategic facilities financial plans.


  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Architecture is required. Masters preferred.
  • 7-10 years general building operations maintenance management experience and facilities/construction administration environment.
  • 2 - 3 years Cisco telepresence system experience.
  • Ability to analyze operational efficiency scenarios; develop, evaluate and implement solutions for productivity.
  • Ability to work with, communicate and influence individuals to drive cultural change and compliance in light of organizational changes
  • Working knowledge of facility management software
  • Supervisory and project management experience
  • Experience with CAD/CAFM, construction trades, Union shops, building codes and property managers.
