Description **ROLE SUMMARY**

Supervises and coordinates the day to day activities of teams (staff and contract resources) ensuring safe repair and maintenance of the McPherson, Kansas manufacturing facility. Position oversees installation, inspections, repairs, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of building infrastructure and systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, trash compactors, elevators, and limited electrical. Coordinates facilities service requests within the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) and completes requests within established timelines and quality specification



**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Develops and oversee staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting in the Facilities department.

+ Establishes a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits and inspections, conducting safety-related training, and maintaining on-going communications with employees.

+ Manages departmental work order process via Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) via preventative and corrective maintenance work orders.

+ Oversees infrastructure repair and minor renovations projects by identifying and managing vendors/contractors, assisting in the bid process, contract compliance, and vendor/contractor performance.

+ Acts as the liaison for remodeling, renovation and minor construction projects as it relates to product standards, design standards, and scheduling.

+ Communicates with customer, vendors, internal and external partners on the status of work and issues effecting services.

+ Reviews and submits purchase requests to ensure service agreements are met and maintenance services are in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP) and budgets.

+ Assists with the development of and compliance with departmental budgets (operating and capital).

+ Ensures continued compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations.

+ Collects, compiles and audits regulatory compliance documentation.

+ Works directly with vendors and Procurement to request proposals for repairs and maintenance.



**QUALIFICATIONS:**



+ Five (5) years' experience in the maintenance and operation of building maintenance for a large facility.

+ Three (3) years' supervisory experience preferred

+ Knowledge and experience with plumbing, fire life/safety, electrical, general building maintenance.



**EDUCATION:**



+ Required - High school diploma or equivalent

+ Preferred - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field preferred



**PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS**



+ Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis



**NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS**



+ First Shift Monday - Friday

+ Extended hours required during semiannual plant maintenance periods (Shutdowns) and as needed to facilitate building maintenance.
