Position Summary:

We are seeking an innovative, curious and hard-working analyst to join our growing Analytics team. This position meets at the intersection of big data and financial data, it is not an accounting position. You will use a variety of tools and data sources to create deep insights for our customers and recommend changes that will impact our short and long term strategies. You should be experienced working directly with large volumes of data. You will join a team of top-notch analysts who work collaboratively to quickly solve problems and support a fast-moving organization. The ability to explore and understand data and problems on deadline is key – it also means that we work hard to stay current on the latest technology and tools. You will work directly with a variety of clients including senior executives so the ability to communicate complex information in simple ways is also key. This particular analyst position has special responsibility supporting revenue and expense activities for our Audience group – experience in these activities and in a subscription businesses is a plus.

Job Duties:
• Use data and business knowledge to find new ways to answer key business questions and understand how to drive revenue and find expense savings
• Strong data visualization skills are a must.
• Develop analytical strategies to solve business problems – this involves understanding the business problem, identifying relevant data, gathering and summarizing data. Deliverables must be high-quality with strong attention to detail.
• Develop and maintain meaningful reporting and dashboards to help drive strategic execution and identify opportunities.
• Act as a consultant with business stakeholders to help them understand the data and offer insights and thought leadership about the direction of our business.

Job Tasks:
• Comprehensively learn data and business practices – this is a constant process in our changing business
• Use Tableau, Excel, Alteryx and other tools to create visualizations and reports to explore and explain data.
• Contribute to our constantly-evolving data by creating new ways of understanding our business.
• Participate in developing and preparing revenue and expense budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial support and analysis to help drive the business forward.
• Create dashboards and automated reports on key business metrics from site data, revenue expenses and other key business areas.
• Present insights through formal and informal presentations and written reviews.
• A strong desire to look at data differently and find insights that have not been discovered before.



• Bachelor’s degree required
• Business Administration or Analytics preferred
• Curiosity and a constant drive to learn is essential
• Tableau and Alteryx skills preferred, as well as a desire to learn new skills

• Experience with creative and analytical thinking – knowledge of how to ask and answer questions with data
• 2-4 years of analytics experience working with a variety of data from a variety of sources including subscription and financial information.
• Experience working with a large volume of data
• Experience managing projects with a close attention to detail and high-quality performance.
