Description:

As a Sales Finance Assistant Analyst at Frito Lay, you will be a key Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise and reporting results that enable effective decision-making within the business. This is your opportunity to take your financial and analytical skills to the next level with endless possibilities!

The Sales Finance Assistant Analyst will provide overall support for the Promotional Execution targets within the Midwest regional accounts. You will also support the Net Sales team with preparation of forecasts and maintenance of regional Performance for Growth contracts. The role will also provide support for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and other financial analysis and reporting.

Annual Operating Plan:

  • Provide analytics and insights to assist in the development of AOP

Business Results:

  • Analyze net sales results on a weekly basis
  • Identify investment opportunities to maximize return on trade spend
  • Work with the Customer Team on effective utilization of TPM
  • Collaborate with Net Sales Directors and Key Account Managers to provide financial analysis of regional promotional calendars
  • Develop and report on Promotional Execution of events within our largest customers
  • Make recommendations for promotional calendars based upon analyses in order to drive additional growth and optimize trade spend
  • Provide additional analyses and reports for our Convenience Store and Small Grocery promotional calendars and growth contracts
  • Support Zone Sales team and Regional Business Team with reporting tools and ad hoc analyses/reports

Forecast:

  • Work with the Customer Team to develop a reliable forecast
  • Validate event level volume forecast
  • Analyze effectiveness of promotional events and establish bench-marking protocols

People Development:

  • Build technical and analytical skills cross-functionally
  • Train region staff on systems

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years relevant sales / finance / management experience, preferably in the retail industry
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to link strategies and objectives to develop a plan
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint)
