Role: Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: Reading
Salary: circa 45,000 - 53,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus & other benefits

Here at PepsiCo we're looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our high performing UK Control & Reporting team.This role will give you a significant remit and you will have responsibility for key aspects of periodic, quarterly and annual US GAAP consolidations and reporting, and own the management reporting cross charges process and related impact on P&L. You will also be given responsibility for UK property and insurance forecasting and reporting and take the lead on the Balance Sheet Review process and execution of the General Ledger maintenance processes.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Deliver timely and accurate submission of US GAAP reporting (including consolidations) by partnering with the US Reporting Manager on certain Periodic, Quarterly and Annual schedules
  • Own the pension reporting process, working closely with UK Planning and Corporate Control
  • Prepare, execute, review and report management cross charges (retained earnings) periodically, including performance of balance sheet reconciliations. Manage relationships across ESSA BU teams for accurate reporting and drive process improvements, including leveraging the Sector pre-approval template.
  • Responsibility for UK rent, rates & insurance accounting processes, to include forecasting and reporting, and supervision of activities performed by shared service centre (IBM). Drive efficiencies in the IBM process including performance of reconciliations on Blackline
  • Responsibility for the Quarterly Balance Sheet Review (BSR) Process for the UK, Ireland and Nordics, including robust review and challenge of BSR commentaries, timely follow-up and resolution of key actions and preparation of materials for CEO, CFO and Controller sign-off
  • Ownership of intra-UK intercompany reporting processes for PepsiCo UK entities
  • Execute changes to the Oracle GL chart of accounts, ensuring efficient and appropriate use of account dimensions and consistency with Hyperion Financial Management
  • Prepare and review periodic balance sheet reconciliations
  • Drive continuous improvements in Financial Reporting processes, including minimising manual journals by automation, appropriate review controls, etc


Qualifications / Requirements : Knowledge

  • US GAAP (preferred)
  • IFRS (preferred)
  • Strong academic background
  • Qualified accountant (top tier firm preferred)
  • Good collaborator and influencer - experience working cross-functionally.
  • Well-organised, self-sufficient and proactive, able to prioritise many competing priorities
  • Strong communicator
  • Can-do, flexible attitude with resilience. Able to respond to rapidly changing and often urgent priorities
  • Attention to detail
  • Oracle (preferred)
  • Hyperion HFM (preferred)
  • CPG experience desirable
  • Crafting clear communications - PowerPoint and presentational experience
  • Working with senior management
