This is your opportunity to drive your career forward at an organization in Prudential committed to maintaining the highest benchmark of financial integrity, exhibit collaborative instincts and advance analytical insights. The Enterprise Valuation Group (EVG) within the Controller’s Group is a dynamic group of individuals with skills and experience in investment products, valuation methods, financial reporting requirements and processes, and quantitative modeling, all in the context of valuation. EVG is responsible for conducting valuation oversight for Prudential investments, and the group also coordinates the compilation and production of the quarterly fair value footnote for Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI) and its subsidiaries.     

The Reporting Specialist will be primarily responsible for supporting the fair value footnote reporting process for PFI and related subsidiaries. Specific responsibilities include: 

  • Support the preparation of the consolidated fair value footnote for inclusion in Forms 10-Q and 10-K filings and other subsidiaries
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analyze period over period variances
  • Partner with different group across the Company on fair value accounting and reporting matters
  • Assist business /reporting teams in understanding fair value guidance and provide guidance regarding the production and submission of quarterly fair value information
  • Develop performance metrics and product valuation attribution reports for management
  • Perform XBRL tagging for Forms 10-Q/K filings
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors on quarterly and annual procedures
  • Assist in in general valuation oversight activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field of study
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting and accounting functions
  • Basic understanding of financial products
  • Knowledge of GAAP and fair value accounting
  • Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills

  • Understanding of Oracle/PFAP/supplemental a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to work overtime during peak periods
