Position Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

The Europe and Latin America (EULA) regional finance team is seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to support the financial reporting function and support business unit initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the quarter close process collaborating with local and corporate stakeholders to communicate the results story of the region. In addition, the individual will assist in bridging actual and forecasted performance by partnering with team members from the P&A functions, contributing to a more well-rounded story. The EULA region is a growth region for the company with many strategic growth initiatives for the candidate to gain exposure.


Responsibilities include:

·       Results review for the region

·       US GAAP disclosure review and preparation

·       Financial statement and profitability analysis

·       Tax reviews

·       Product accounting classification analysis

·       Annual unit cost reviews

·       Support the planning and budgeting process for a specific country

·       Financial and business integration and business plan development on new business opportunities

·       Broad organization and function specific process improvement


Key Skills Associate will develop in role:

·       Knowledge of the quarter close process with a deepened understanding of insurance accounting and reporting

·       Project management, executive level presentations. Collaboration with in-country teams, regional leadership, corporate development, actuarial, portfolio management, tax, treasurers, and other internal PII teams

·       Exposure to finance functions including corporate finance and strategy, planning and analysis, accounting, business driver reporting and capital management

·       Knowledge of business models and distribution strategies, key performance indicators, and product mix



·       Undergraduate business degree in Accounting or Finance

·       4-5 years of accounting, auditing, and financial reporting experience

·       Experience in working in Financial Services, particularly Life Insurance

·       Ability to interpret financial statements extracting trends to provide insight into the businesses

·       Strong and concise written and verbal communication skills

·       Adaptable to different stakeholders and audiences

·       CPA and/or MBA a plus

·       Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
