Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for a Food Operations Manager 3 for Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ

 

This job will be responsible for 6 managers communication, increasing sales in 4 retail outlets which includes a vending cafe. You will be also be responsible to meet sanitation expectations and achieving gold scores for ECO SURE audits.

This job requires a person to work hands on at any time and to provide examples of a positive management style. This position needs to take over the building of a positive work environment for the entire staff. Responsible for meeting all State & federal government regulations and to prepare for Joint Commission Surveys.

Responsible to complete and build action plans for all Sodexo surveys which include Gold Checks, Customer & patient surveys, OMD as well as implementing Sodexo Marketing-kits in our retail areas. Ensuring that all employees and your management staff receive performance appraisals annually and timely. The position also requires someone that will see our CARES program is utilized consistently and that we follow then plan. This position is also responsible for any other work place activities provided by the General Manager.

Position Summary

Provides leadership and supervision for the on-site food service exempt and non-exempt level staff in the delivery of our contractual agreement with the client. Provides supervision for food services at account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the company. Implements business practices in order to uphold company mission, values and commitments made in the Sodexo client contractual agreement.
Key Duties
- Establishes a safe work environment

- Assumes General Manager’s (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence

- Utilizes Sodexo tools and programs to develop client, customer, and staff relationships,  to ensure account retention

- Implements and fully utilizes all Sodexo tools and programs to ensure financial outcomes

- Directs daily operations of food service to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources, ensures operating standards and regulatory requirements are met

- Develops and implements plans, projects, with defined objectives, methods, timetables and budget to support client and Sodexo strategic plan

- Ensures adherence to all HR standards for Sodexo, client, and  regulatory agencies
 

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree 

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
