Job Description

We are now recruiting 2 new regulatory Affairs Specialists to join our R&D team in Little Island, Cork, Ireland on 12 month fixed term contracts initially.

The successful candidate will support the business to meet its demand for raw material approvals to support Innovation and regulatory metrics. You will join an established team providing support and expertise to ensure the concentrate regulatory compliance requirements are met for all concentrate food and beverage raw materials (core and innovation)

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring the regulatory compliance requirements for food and beverage raw materials are understood and met.
  • Evaluating raw material suitability for use in concentrates for specific markets.
  • Supporting the new product registrations team fielding regulatory queries.
  • Playing an active role in concentrate labelling governance to ensure compliance.
  • Working as part of cross-functional project teams providing regulatory guidance.
  • Building and maintaining close working relationships with Corporate and Regional SRA, Quality, PD, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Developing a strong regulatory network and partnerships with Corporate and Regional colleagues.
  • Using of formula management systems and raw material dossiers to extract and evaluate regulatory data.
  • Keeping updated on legislative changes and scientific developments on food and beverage ingredients.
  • Supporting the SRA team in assessment for import, manufacture and export of food and beverage raw materials and concentrates.


Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Law, Nutrition, Food Science or related discipline.
  • Experience in a food regulatory or regulatory compliance related role.
  • Good understanding of the principles of food legislation.
  • Ability to assess the impact of legislative requirements on business activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate priorities.
  • Experience of working on product development initiatives advantageous.
  • Excellent IT skills with high level proficiency in databases, Office programs and communication tools.
