Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) is PepsiCo's beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States and Canada. This position will be of the North America Beverage organization.


The Key Account Manager for Food Service will execute a selling strategy in assigned Food Service accounts. Successful candidates will be responsible for account management responsibilities associated with Large, mainly Restaurant, Foodservice Accounts. Overall duties include participation in annual planning, business reviews (QBP Process), reporting and trade management and account administration. This role will also require strong project/time management skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills to handle multiple priorities and objectives aimed at meeting Foodservice's selling strategy in their assigned accounts. This person is responsible to manage key customer relationships to include negotiating customer agreements that deliver against annual operating plans while successfully delivering against the customer's expectations as well as obtaining new Foodservice Accounts.

  • Maximize volume and revenue in key assigned Food Service accounts by utilizing fact-based selling methods
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with customers and drive customer satisfaction through superior service and execution
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
  • Ensure customers are complying with PBC contract requirements
  • Work closely with the Selling Operations team to improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Analyze customer information and business trends using IRI and Nielsen data to identify and expand business opportunities
  • Responsible for coordinating fountain, bottle and can and supply income growth
  • Represent PepsiCo portfolio of brands at customer
  • Deliver annual volume, trade spend and profit plan
  • On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execute
  • Participate in Annual Operating Plan & Forecast process, collaborating with Finance, Channel Manager and Channel Director.
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager in soliciting and targeting Large Local Accounts
  • Maintenance of Product Authorizations and Pricing (SLIC and DEAL Models). Leverage Excel modeling to assess financials, valuation, and alternate scenarios (BAM Process).
  • Develop promotion plans, out of the box ideas, (Blitz organization, BOGO promotions etc) while adhering to Financial guidelines and ensure flawless execution through consistent customer engagement and buy-in
  • Make regular Customer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and creating fact-based selling presentations
  • Ensure customers are complying with PBC contract requirements
  • Ensure customer maintains a strategic product mix through SKU optimization -- both Fountain and Bottle and Can
  • Work closely with field team to ensure strong communication, execution of Foodservice programs and overall customer satisfaction
  • Actively participate in customer payment processing including financial contracts, performance and collection (TPM/ A/R A/P)
  • Provide inspirational leadership and develop a deeper selling capability to a team
  • Ability to travel 10- 20% of the time and be able to relocate for future positions.


  • A minimum of 2 years of fact-based selling experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Food Service or consumer packaged goods experience
  • Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
