    Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 for Asbury Bethany Village located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania This position will assist in overseeing dining room operations for assisted living and will assist in other areas of the food service operation as needed.  Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 15 hourly employees.  Shifts will be 7:00am - 3:30pm or 11:00am - 7:30pm, Sunday - Thursday, may vary.

    Are you the experienced food manager we’re seeking?

     

    We are looking for candidates who will:

    • have oversight of daily dining room operations (mainly 3 dining rooms in AL);
    • assist with inputting diets into GeriMenu;
    • attend CarePlan meetings and surveys for new admissions;
    • handle cash during closing shift;
    • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
    • create a positive environment; and
    • ensure Sodexo Standards are met.

    The ideal candidate has:

    • previous food service experience ideally in a healthcare environment;
    • strong customer service skills;
    • knowledge of safety and sanitation compliance;
    • knowledge of GeriMenu;
    • the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
    • the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;
    • proficiency in computer skills and report management experience.

    Position Summary

    Assists in the management of multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. May supervise less than two full time employees.

    Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
